Yeah…..we are doing that again!

Baseball! I love you!! The boys have been participating in Fall Ball League here in Gilbert this season and we have been loving every minute of the chaos. We love watching the boys play and it since we are in Arizona now we get to see some other family members play too! Super exciting.
Well, the season is almost over (Next week is the last week) so I thought I would post some pictures.
This is Ethan's team. He is on the Red Sox. He has really enjoyed himself, and is a great player!
Ethan's favorite position to play is Catcher, but being Pitcher is a close second for him.

Spencer is playing for the Cubs this year. He is the youngest on his team and it shows a little bit. He is still a great player but there is quite a difference between 9 and 11 years old. The SIZE of some of the 11 year-olds is crazy. He loves to pitch and play first base. His coach thinks that he has a future at second base. I can't wait to watch him grow up in this league. I think he will be really challenged and be an amazing player.

The other kids are always so good to just hang out and watch the game. I guess they have just learned that this is a way of life now.

Go Phillies!

Normally we are not Phillies fans in this house. However, Ryleigh's class at school is watching the Series and each classmate had to pick for the World Series. Ryleigh was the only one in her class to vote for the Phillies (most are going for the Yankees, and some were going for the Redsox.) We are all totally impressed that the Phillies have made it this far and we are super excited for Ryleigh. On game day she has me paint her face, and since they won the NLCS yesterday against the Dodgers she had me paint her face this morning. She says her teacher loves her spirit!

GO PHILLIES!

Camp Linn

The Valley was going to reach record highs this weekend (around 100*) and thankfully we already had plans with Dans siblings to go camping! It did actually get up to 101* yesterday here in Gilbert, but we didn't care. It was 81* where we were! We really did have so much fun roughing it with those we love the most! The kids all had a blast and were absolutely filthy! Camp

Boy Cousins - Garrett, Spencer, Joel, Ethan

The boys were great at keeping themselves busy. Here they are playing dodge ball with pine cones! Pretty creative.

Dans sister Nicole wins Auntie of the Year! She is so amazing. I don't know if she actually loves to play with the kids, or if she just knows that mom & dad need a break sometimes, but she is so wonderful to know exactly when to ease some stress! Not to mention Olivia LOVES her! she calls her Cocos.
Girl Cousins Daniella, Ryleigh, Ashley, Jayda

Ashley & Ryleigh spent most of the day on Saturday building a pretty cool little clubhouse out of sticks and pine needles. I was impressed with their dedication!

We kept busy with games (badminton) - it is amazing how slow time goes by with no TV, phones, computers, showers, washer & dryers, mops....
Dan & Adam playing a friendly game of horseshoes.
The kids liked this game - Chuck-o - It kept many people occupied for many hours!
uuuummm LOOK! An orange tree - see the tress do change a little in Arizona.

Happy Birthday Spencer!!

Today is Spencer's birthday! He is 9 years old now (well, technically not until 3:17)! He is such a great kid. He has such a sweet demeanor and loves life. I am super grateful that he is a part of our family. I love you Spence!

p.s. Getting a good picture of Spencer is not always easy....

I love you babe!

Today Dan and I are celebrating our TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY! We always planned on some awesomely spectacular celebration for our 10 year mark.... instead we are going to school, helping kids with homework, doing our own homework, cooking dinner, doing the dishes, watching Glenn Beck and Project Runway and updating the blog. Funny how life gets in the way. We did get each other a little something. I got a beautiful bouquet and a Reece's Whipped (seriously yummy - try it) and I bought Dan a couple of books he has been drooling over.

So maybe for our 20 year anniversary we will plan on that awesome cruise to the Caribbean or a romantic tour through Italy or maybe we will be working and spending time with our adult child(Ryleigh will be 21!), sending off a Missionary (Spencer will be almost 19!), Getting ready for a High School Graduation (Ethan will be 17!!) and sending our baby into Young Women's (Livy will be nearly 12). It is crazy to think like that because it is still so far away but in all honesty I can't believe how fast the last 10 years has flown past us, and I am sure the next 10 will be just as speedy!

I love you Dan!
